SEBOKENG.- Local basketballers gathered at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Zone 14, Sebokeng to keep themselves busy over the weekend.
When Sedibeng Ster Sport visited the venue it was a hive of activity all over the complex, with different sporting codes taking place.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the basketball players said although they are still not allowed to play official games, every Saturday they organise ‘fitness’ matches among themselves. This initiative has also attracted the local higher institutions’ students who have joined the township basketball games to keep themselves busy.
“We have no idea when we are going to start with our program but for now we keep ourselves busy playing among ourselves. These games are very competitive because some of us are professional basketballers and you will understand that those who are still amateurs want to prove a point as well. We cannot wait for official games to begin,” they told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
