“Are we a town of corrupt ungrateful people?”

Andries Visagie from Vanderbijlpark writes:

This is a thank you to so many of the hardworking councilors (all from opposition parties) who can still remain patient and focused while so many members of the public insult, personally attack and slander them.

They look ahead, bite hard and still try to make a difference despite the hopeless cANCs. They do not control the workers, equipment or budgets, but often have to hear that they are lying, just get fat salaries and “we voted for them, and now they do nothing!”, But the bells clearly do not have the slightest concept of how a majority government does not work.

They also quickly forget about things they have been helped with before. Then there are community service volunteers – people who do something for their communities at their own expense simply because they can. These people also often go through unnecessary criticism, because Aunt Sanna bounces her as an admin on a group for the third time to ask her not to post pictures of bunnies or Bible verses, but tomorrow she will soon ask for help as her Yorkie slips out again and the neighbor’s Rottweiler wants to rap the little brat.

Stop complaining about everything that is wrong with / in Emfuleni and jump in yourself. If you can not do something yourself, at least support the people who are willing to do something.
