SEDIBENG.- Vaal Professionals need only a draw when they host Dube Continental FC in the last fixture of ABC Motsepe League at George Thabe Stadium on Saturday to qualify for Glad Africa Promotion playoffs.
Kick off is at 15:30.
As things stand, Vaal Pros is at the top of their stream with one game left to be crowned the champions in their stream. They will play in the stream play offs to determined which team will qualify for the National Playoffs for GladAfrican Champions League promotion. The home side is likely to face African All Stars in the stream playoffs.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Vaal Pros Coach, Mokete Tsotetsi said their priority is to qualify for the National Promotional Playoffs for the GladAfrican Champions. He was speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after Vaal Pros played to a 2-2 draw against Wits University over the weekend.
“Look, as much a we need only a draw in our last game against Dube Continental FC we will go all out to win this game. It is not going to be easy because we know Dube Continental FC is one of the best opponents in our stream and we are not going to take them light. It is our ambition to gain promotion to play in GladAfrican Champion in the new season but first we must win the stream playoffs then we will take it from there. I’m very happy with the effort everyone has put in to be where we are right now, especially the support of the chairman and his board members. It was a team effort to be where we are on the log,” said Tsotetsi.
Meanwhile, NWU Vaal FC escaped relegation with the teeth of their skin when they beat Dube Continental FC 2-1 in the ABC Motsepe League at NWU Vaal Campus over the weekend. The team still has to appear before the SAFA disciplinary committee after an accident against Black Aces FC.
