Police are working tirelessly on GBV cases: Lepitla

The Meyerton SAPS station commander Colonel Moeti Lepitla recently said that police are working tirelessly to ensure that perpetrators of Gender-based Violence (GBV) are apprehended and brought to book.

MEYERTON. – Lepitla was addressing the families of seven women who had been brutally murdered in Meyerton along with the community and stakeholders who formed part of a candle light commemoration that was held on Friday.

The event was held at an open veld regarded as one of the crime hotspots in Sicelo. 

The police in conjunction with various stakeholders recently conducted a cleaning campaign at the open veld where the body of the latest victim was discovered to safeguard the area..

Pastors prayed for families to gain strength and for the safety of the community at large and including the police.
