Addressing GBV at school level

The discussions were based among other things on girls' health issues and challenges they can face as teenagers.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Vanderbijlpark SAPS’ Social Crime Prevention led by Sargeant Keke Nteso, together with the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) students from the Vaal University of Technology (VUT), visited grade nine and ten learners of Tsholo Secondary School in Bophelong with the aim of addressing gender base violence (GBV) recently. The discussions were based among other things on girls’ health issues and challenges they can face as teenagers. The VUT students addressed the the girls about the challenges they will face as young women and how to prevent teenage pregnancy. The visit was a success.
