Evaton Police address Cyberbullying

Learners were educated about what is Cyberbullying and its consequences.

EVATON. Before the prompt closure of schools due to the rise of Covid-19 this week, the Evaton SAPS  Social Crime Prevention and Corporate Communication departments embarked on a cyber bullying awareness at schools in their area. The awareness was held at Khutlo Tharo Secondary School where the learners were educated about what is cyberbullying and its consequences. The awareness addressed issues such as Child abuse, Bullying and Cyberbullying. Learners were also advised to adhere to the Covid-19 regulations as Covid is on the rise, they were more importantly advised to wear their masks, sanitize and wash their hands at all times. Police Spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said,”It was a successful initiative, 80 learner were addressed and they appreciated the police presence.”
