Boipatong man’s mansion burns to ashes

"When they arrived at the scene their engines ran out of water and they had to go back to the Fire Department in Vanderbijlpark for more water."

BOIPATONG.- What is believed to be electricity fault has left Daniel Mbele from Boipatong homeless. His mansion burned downwhen his mission house burned down recently. Mbele used the house for businesses purposes such as catering and tourism. To make it worse, everything he worked so hard for has burned  into ashes. The only thing he is left with are a trouser and t-shirt he is wearing. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mbele said the house burned due to electricity fault when the electricity came sudenly following a power outage. Mbele said that Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) fire fighters could have saved the situation, but when they arrived at the scene their engines ran out of water and they had to go back to the Fire Department in Vanderbijlpark for more water. Mbele, who is a teacher in Sebokeng, said when they came back, the house was ‘finished’. For more about the story read this week’s Sedibeng Ster .
