"Service delivery will continue uninterrupted and efforts are in place to protect our critical infrastructure."

Midvaal Local Municipality notes with deep concern the violent riots which left business properties damaged and looted in parts of KZN and Gauteng.

The Executive Mayor of Midvaal Local Municipality, Bongani Baloyi would like to thank and appreciate the residents of Midvaal for taking a stand against the rampant looting and violence that is taking place around the country.

“We remain relatively stable and not affected but very cautious of high-risk areas. We urge all our communities, business establishments and stakeholders to remain calm and continue working together in curbing any potential harm. Resources have already been made available to mitigate against such.”

“Service delivery will continue uninterrupted and efforts are in place to protect our critical infrastructure.”

“Once again, I want to send my sincere gratitude to our residents, CPF, our stakeholders, and the police for keeping our communities safe. This great milestone would not have been possible without your support and commitment.

Let us continue to shine the light of hope within our communities and adhere to COVID 19 regulations and ensure that there is no disruption to the vaccination rollout in Midvaal.”
