Community urged to protect schools against criminality

The National Association of School Governing Bodies  (NASGB) in Sedibeng District Municipality urges residents to take proactive steps to protect school’s against any form of criminality.

SEDIBENG. – Spokesperson Meshack Mothibedi says the call is informed by previous incidents of burglaries and theft at different schools around the Sedibeng and Emfuleni communities.

“This message is directed to SGB committee members , CPF  patrollers, SANCO, Street committees and any other organisations with a vested interest in the education of the African child.

“Let us be vigilant and collaborate for the safety and protection of our schools. Education remains a societal responsibility.”

“We call on every person to  do their part in protecting the future of our children. Don’t keep quiet whenever you see a school under attack.”

Residents are urged to say no to  looting and vandalism and to report anything suspicious to the police.
