Law enforcement agencies recover looted goods in Boiketlong

The raid comes after the recent looting and destruction of properties that took place at the nearby Thabong Shopping Centre

SEBOKENG.- You can run with the stolen items but you will never hide everything for the police!

The police and the SANDF members turned the informal squatter camp of Boiketlong near Sebokeng into a small size as they arrived early in the morning today, Thursday, to look for looted goods. While most community members were in shock, others tied to lock their shacks but it was already late.

The raid comes after the recent looting and destruction of properties that took place at the nearby Thabong Shopping Centre and parts of Vaal last week.

Namely ‘Operation Buisa’ or ‘Show me the receipt’,  the operation resulted with many stolen and suspected stolen items been confiscated.

The operation lasted for more than six hours.

Most of the suspected stolen items were transported with trucks to the Sebokeng Police Station.
