SEDIBENG.-  Italian side, AC Milan, has extended the contract of Banyana-Banyana sensational midfielder, Refiloe Jane.

This former VUT Ladies FC is one of Banyana-Banyana players who are making their names in the European football.

The extension of her contract came at the time when the country is celebrating Women’s Month. She has impressed the AC Milan technical staff for the past two seasons that she has been with the club.

Jane said she was delighted to be offered another contract by the club to show how much they appreciated her contribution at the club is appreciated. Recently, many Banyana-Banyana players have secured contracts with big Europeans clubs which is something to take note of. No doubt, Jane is the most talented player to have come from South African women’s football to date.

“I want to thank the club’s technical staff for having faith in me by offering me another contract to contribute to the success of the club. This means another opportunity for me to prove my worth here and bring more success to the club. They showed confidence to me, and I will reward them for this. I’m also happy to see some of my team mates at Banyana-Banyana doing well in big leagues in Europe. This shows that the standard of women football back home is improving, and our talent is now noticed by European clubs,” she said.

Jane was selected for Banyana-Banyana while still playing for VUT Ladies FC before she was offered a ‘greener pasture’ by other institutions of high learning..
