ITA women celebrate Women’s Day

The local women were joined by women from taxi association’s in Pretoria and the CBD area of Johannesburg.

SEBOKENG. – The Internal Taxi Association (ITA) Women’s League came together in high spirits on Monday to celebrate Women’s Day, on Monday. This year’s national theme was: “2021-The Year of Charlotte Maxeke: Realising Women’s Rights aimed at promoting the women’s equality and sustaining the fight against gender based violence and femicide.” The local women were joined by women from taxi association’s in Pretoria and the CBD area of Johannesburg. Mapuleng Mokoena, Chairperson of ITA Women’s League, said that this year’s annual event was of a high standard, with the three regions of Gauteng coming under one roof. “Covid-19 regulations allowed only a certain number of attendants and we respected and maintained the laws as we celebrated.”
