Woman rescued following several-hour entrapment

After the Midvaal Fire freed the woman, she was assessed and found to be suffering mild hypothermia.

SEDIBENG.- A woman in her 60s was rescued after she became trapped between a wall and residence at her home in Meyerton over the weekend. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 08hoo to find the Midvaal Fire Services already in attendance.

On scene, a woman was found lying trapped in a small space between a residence and boundary wall. It is understood that the woman had been trapped from last night. 

After the Midvaal Fire freed the woman, she was assessed and found to be suffering mild hypothermia.

The woman was treated and transported to Kopanong Provincial Hospital for further care. The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.
