Bishop Zondo heads to the High Court

The man of cloth is facing charges of rape, contravening the Sexual Offences Act as well as defeating the ends of justice.

SEBOKENG. – The Rivers of Living Waters Ministries church leader, Archbishop Stephen Bafana Zondo will be back in court today. The 55-year-old Zondo, will appear at the Pretoria High Court.

The man of cloth is facing charges of rape, contravening the Sexual Offences Act as well as defeating the ends of justice. When he first appeared in court in May, his supporters chanted in his support outside the Sebokeng Magistrate Court  before the case was transferred to Pretoria, it remains to be seen if he will receive the same support today.

The spokesperson of the regional National Prosecution Authority, Lumka Mahanjana said that Zondo is still to plead. The NPA said the matter is expected to sit from 23 August to 17 September.
