Community demand services

"This time we don't want to hear nothing but a positive response."

VANDERBIJLPARK. The Bophelong community arrived at the Emfuleni Local Municipality at around 11:00 today, 9 September, to hand in their memorandum of demands. They were demanding service delivery. The spokesperson of the community members, Simon Nkosi said they have been struggling for too long. “This time we don’t want to hear nothing but a positive response to tell us when they are going to fix our electricity transformers.” Nkosi said that there are about seventy (70) transformers that have not been working since even before winter. At the time of submitting this article the protesters were still waiting for the officials to receive their memorandum.
