
“ER24 arrived at 02h20 and found a light motor vehicle on its roof on the side of the road. The male driver was found to be lying approximately 50 metres away from the car,” ER24 said in a statement on Thursday.
“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead,” ER24 added.
The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
In another separate accident one person sustained fatal injuries while ten others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious following a collision between a minibus and a light motor vehicle on the M61 in Randvaal on Wednesday evening.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 19h00, they found that most of the patients were outside of the minibus.
Nine people had sustained minor injuries while one person had sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, the driver of the light motor vehicle had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
ER24, as well as various other medical services, treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
