SHARPEVILLE.- Sedibeng District task team, Vanderbijlpark task team and Sharpeville uniform members arrested a 30 year old suspect on Thursday. Police Spokesperson Thembeka Maxambela said that shooting between the police and the suspects ensued and four of the five suspects fled the scene and one suspect got arrested in Phase 1, Sharpeville . “A 9 mm and one rifle with 27 live ammunition was recovered on the scene.” Police are investigating a case of possession of firearm and live ammunition and attempted murder.
