Stabbed to death by friend

The suspect then fetched a knife from her home and stabbed Mosoeu to death just a few meters away from her home.

SHARPEVILLE. – Police in Sharpeville have launched a murder investigation after arresting a 27-year-old woman for stabbing her friend to death.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon in Tshepiso. Puleng Mosoeu (31) was declared dead by paramedics on the scene after sustaining stab wounds on her upper body.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela reports that the deceased together with the suspect were drinking together with two other friends when they all got into a fight.

“It is reported that the suspect left and the deceased followed her home.  The suspect then asked the suspect if they could talk.”

It is said that the suspect refused to talk to the deceased as she had already been assaulted.

The suspect then fetched a knife from her home and stabbed Mosoeu to death just a few meters away from her home.

The suspect is due to appear at the Vereeniging Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
