Safa to allow vaccinated fans into stadium
The last time local soccer fans attended both Bafana-Bafana and DStv Premier Soccer League matches was in March 2020 when President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the first nationwide lock down.
SEDIBENG.- Good news for local soccer fans is that vaccinated soccer fans will be allowed to attend the Qatar World Cup Qualifier when Bafana Bafana host Ethiopia in this crucial encounter at the FNB Stadium on 12 October.

This was after South African Football Association (SAFA) and Minister Of Sports Nathi Mthethwa agreed to allow the vaccinated soccer fans into the stadium. This is part of drive called “Return to Play – it’s in your hands” campaign launched by government in an attempt to get more people vaccinated.
This good news was welcomed by many soccer fans who believe it was long overdue taking into consideration that their European counterparts are allowed to attend the games.
