PICS: Vanderbijlpark protesters join Numsa’s nationwide wage strike

The union wants 8% salary increase for its members plus a 2% increase every year for the second and third years.

Following deadlocks between the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) and employers over salary increases protesters turned up for the Vanderbijlpark leg of the nationwide strike for higher wages on Wednesday.

Numsa began its national strike on Tuesday, October 5. The union demands an 8% wage increase for workers.
