PSL set the record straight

COVID-19 regulations and health protocols have not yet allowed fans in the stadiums.

SEDIBENG.- The Premier Soccer League (PSL) set the record straight when they released a press statement dismissing claims that soccer fans would be allowed in to the stadiums.

This followed after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country would moved to level one.

This is despite SAFA’s announcement that vaccinated fans would be allowed in the stadium when Bafana Bafana hosts Ethiopia in the Qatar FIFA World Cup Qualifier match at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

However, PSL has since issue a statement that  COVID-19 regulations and health protocols have not yet allowed fans in the stadiums.

This came as disappointment to many soccer fans who were under the impression that apart from Bafana Bafana games, they would be also allowed to attend PSL matches. The PSL has dismissed these claims.

“There have been suggestions, after the President’s address on Thursday, 30 September 2021, that it might be possible to allow a limited number of spectators to attend upcoming PSL matches. Unfortunately, the new Disaster Management Act regulations continue to prohibit spectators and fans at matches,” read the PSL press statement.
