Heavy sentence for Zone 3 Spar robber

EVATON. – The Palm Ridge Court recently sentenced a local man to two life sentences, amongst other sentences, following a robbery that was committed at the Zone 3 Spar in 2018.
The man, Themba Ndlovu was sentenced to 3X 15years imprisonment for robbery, 10 years imprisonments for attempted murder, 5 years imprisonment for attempted robbery and two life sentences for murder. Ndlovu was found guilty on various cases that include murder, robbery, attempted robbery and attempted murder that he (and his accomplices) committed in 2018.

Police Spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that Ndlovu entered the shop and pretended to be a customer, he took out the firearm demanded money from the tills where he also he took boxes of cigarettes. Ndlovu is said to have continued to other tills and took out money from them.
“He further demanded the cashier print out airtime worth R2 000.00. He also took cell phones from the cashiers. After the accused and other suspects left the shop, they met with man that was driving his vehicle and shot him dead. The deceased’s vehicle was hijacked.”

Brigadier Doctor Sibuyi, Evaton Police Station Commander congratulated the investigating officer Sergeant Thulo from the Evaton Trio team who left no stone unturned over the investigation and remained focused as he collected all necessary evidence that led to the successful conviction and sentencing of the accused.
“I am pleased that the accused will be behind bars, and (warn) others who are still out there to see (know) that their day will come, ” Brigadier Sibuyi said.
