Rosy aims to develop her community

“I have, myself participated in various modelling competitions around the area of Vaal where I have won numerous accolades.”

SEDIBENG.-  Being disabled does not forbid one from reaching greater heights, proof is with wheelchair bound Palesa ‘ Rosy’ Mahloko who has just recently entered the Miss Wheelchair SA 2021. She was nominated as part of the Top 10 finalists that will be taking place in Cape Town on November 29. Through this opportunity Mahloko said that she is planning to take her career to the next level and hopefully build the kids from her neighbourhood by providing them with available opportunities in the modelling industry. A mother of two, Mahloko is a motivated individual who is passionate about the world of beauty and confidence building. She has strived to help contribute to the community through hosting various types of events and competitions for both kids and young adults. “I have, myself, participated in various modelling competitions around the area of Vaal where I have won numerous accolades.” Earlier this year Mahloko hosted an event called ‘BACK2DAHOOD’ with a young local promoter by the name of ‘TOURIC ZeWordsmith’. The show was a strictly Hip Hop show inclusive of young dancers and singers. “The aim of the event was to bring back hip hop roots while bringing kids together to motivate and create a creative space for them.” The show is now to be hosted later this year again as a collaborative event with ‘BAK TO BASICS’ which is well known for hosting poetry shows and creative sessions for networking in the area.
