Deur SAPS embark on festive operations

DE DEUR. – The police in De Deur together with the Department of Community Safety, SAPS Management, Community Policing Forum (CPF) patrollers under the leadership Chairperson Msebenzi Gqelosha and SAPS patrollers’ Coordinator Sergeant Daniel Diutluileng have intensified festive season operations.

Police Spokesperson Constable Maria Letsele says the intensified operations are directed at combating crime during the busiest time of the year.

“Criminals use the festive season as an opportunity to commit all sorts of crimes. The main focus is to combat possible root causes of crime around the area as well as to prevent crime.”

Letsele said that the police were increasing visibility in the area through various operations and also working together with the community in De Deur to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe festive season.

Colonel Landingwe the Station Commander further wishes everyone a safe festive season in all different Sectors in De Deur.
