Man arrested for possession of suspected stolen property

The arrest was made during operation Okae Molao  carried out by Boipatong detectives.

BOIPATONG. – The police in Boipatong have arrested an African male for possession of an unlicensed firearm and suspected stolen property.

The arrest was made during operation Okae Molao  carried out by Boipatong detectives.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela reports that the suspect was found in possession of over 10 stolen cellphones, bank cards and other property also suspected to be stolen.

Following the incident, police are now urging anyone who might have be robbed in Boipatong or Vanderbijlpark to contact Captain Mokgotu on 082 778 7937.

The suspect has been detained and will appear at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate Court soon.
