Operation Okae Molao held in Meyerton

The operation was held in conjunction with Prasa, private securities, Department of Community safety, Midvaal traffic and Gauteng traffic departments.

SEDIBENG. – In efforts to maintain law and order, Sedibeng District SAPS recently carried out Operation Okae Molao in Meyerton.

Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that members from all 13 stations in the district as well as those in specialised units attended in numbers.

“The operation was held in conjunction with Prasa, private securities, Department of Community safety, Midvaal traffic and Gauteng traffic departments.”

The parade started at 05:30 at Meyerton SAPS and was addressed by Vandebijlpark station commander  Brigadier Nikiwe Hoeane.

During her adress, Hoeane emphasised the importance of discipline and encouraged members to do their best in making sure that school learners are safe.

Hoeane further welcomed the presence of Midvaal Local Municipality Mayor Peter Teixeira who was present at the parade.

Teixeira was pleased with tha attendance of members and promised to support the fight against crime in the Midvaal policing precinct.

Members were  then divided into three groups and assigned to De Deur, Klipriver and Meyerton respectively.
