BOPHELONG.- Only 800 food parcels arrived for the atleast 1300 community members that had been waiting for them in Bophelong last week.

A stampede nearly arupted after over a thousand people including the unemployed from Ward 7, arrived to collect the food parcels. The people wanted to force entry at the main gate of the Bophelong Community Hall and wanted to know how the Department of Social Development came with ‘less’ food parcels. However,

Community members suggested to Sedibeng Ster that the government must distribute the food to the needy community by visiting house to house to see if the people really deserve them.
