“Mama Action” lambasts police over bribery!

The Gauteng MEC for community safety, ‘Mama Action’ Faith Mazibuko recently lambasted the members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) , saying that greed would cost them their jobs.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The MEC was speaking at the community stakeholders meeting hosted at the Vanderbijlpark High School on 3 February 2022.

Squared up against the police officers sitting just in front of her, Mama Action commonly known for dealing harshly with criminal activities, said beware,  a hungry stomach work will cost your job. 

“Stop collecting bribes from the foreign national’s tuckshops when you supposed to deal with  complaints. Some of these shops sell illegal or counterfeit and expired goods. Instead of arrests, you allegedly collect bribes. This is killing our people.”

Mazibuko said  urged the police to do the right thing, ‘Do the right thing and you will see that the community will  takes you seriously. ‘Mama Action’ went further to remind police that bribery its crime and it does not pay.

“The government put you were you are because the community trust you. “

Pointing out to the department of Home Affairs, Immigrations and Correctional Services on their absence, she said it’s about time they serve the citizens with pride. She strongly warned those who think that  the hand of the law is short that it cannot reach them.
