SHARPEVILLE. – Police are investigating the death of a man whose decomposing body was discovered in an open veld in Tshepiso Phase 5 this afternoon.
The discovery of the body was made by Pastor Pieter Moswa who had gone to the open veld to collect wood.
Moswa says he alerted some of the community members after he was met by an unpleasant smell from the trees.
“I went to inspect and saw that it was actually a human body that was decomposing.”
An ambulence was called to the scene and the man was declared dead.
The body was later collected by Forensic Pathology Services.
