Situated at 29C Loch Street, the premises accommodated a butchery for many years, but in the past year has undergone a spectacular revamp under new ownership of Wholesale Meat Cash & Carry.
At the helm of the new Meyerton store is owner and manager, Michael. From a young age he and his father, an expert who has been in the meat industry for many decades, have shared a passion for high quality meat and exceptional client service.
Since March 2021 Michael stripped the old butchery in Loch Street down to the bone. He carried out a massive clean-up, installed new fridges and planned a totally new, modern look and lay-out. “I wanted to start brand new, fresh and immaculately clean,” says Michael.
His Meyerton store is now an impressive and convenient one stop shop where you will find epic specials on fresh meat, organic fruit and veg, as well as Wholesale Meat Cash & Carry’s famous hot food deli. A variety of freshly baked breads is also available – all in one convenient place.
Although considered a high-end butchery, appreciated by meat connoisseurs for its special cuts, they certainly also cater for clients on a tighter budget.
“We keep our prices as low as possible in order to sell more, which enables us to keep offering affordable prices,” explains Michael. In fact, his number one goal is to cater for a market that is tired of spending excessive amounts on their monthly meat and grocery bills.
