Jomo Cosmos’ first game at Isak Steyl

“We have been playing well but our biggest challenge is scoring goals despite creating scoring opportunities."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Jomo Cosmos played their first GladAfrica Champions at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark when they played to a goalless draw against University of Pretoria (Tuks) in a midweek fixture recently.

It was a great evening of football with both teams displaying exciting football. The results could have gone either way taking into consideration the number of chances both teams created but were let down by their poor finishing. Speaking, after the game, Jomo Cosmos boss, Jomo Sono, was adamant that his team will survive relegation at the end of the season after this encouraging display especially against ‘Tuks’ which is one of the teams that are challenging for the league title. Cosmos is languishing third from the bottom of the log and it will need a miracle to get out of the relegation zone. However, Sono was confident that Cosmos won’t be relegated at the end of the season regardless of their position on the log standings.

“We have been playing well but our biggest challenge is scoring goals despite creating scoring opportunities. It is encouraging to create chances unlike not creating them and this shows that it is just a matter of time before we start scoring goals,” he concluded
