BOPHELONG.- A driver of a green Toyota Tazz, and his passenger were assaulted by the members of the community after they were involved in an apparent hit and run accident on Sunday.

An Emfuleni Local Municipality vehicle was damaged in the accident when it was allegedly hit from the back by the driver who was accused of failing to stop and attempting to run. He managed to stop about 5o meters form the scene. The driver and his passenger were given the ‘people’s justice’.

The passanger was taken to hospital amd a case of negligent driving is being investigated.
