Witnesses sought following two separate murder incidents in Bophelong

The police in Vanderbijlpark need witnesses to come forward following the murders of two men in two separate incidents this week in Bophelong.

VANDERBIJLPARK. –  According to police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda, police received a complaint of a body lying in the street in Extension 12 Bophelong on Thursday morning.

“On arrival at the scene, police met with emergency services personnel who had already declared the man deceased.

“On further investigation, police found that the deceased had sustained multiple injuries to the head and body. Both his legs were broken. “

Funda says the deceased was later identified by his brother as Mbuti Nkosinathi Radebe (24) from Bophelong.

“No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.” In another incident, police were called following the murder of 30-year-old Toto Mpho in Bophelong Extension 11 on Tuesday.

“It is reported that the deceased was caught by the owner after he broke into a car. The owner then called neighbours and the man was allegedly beaten to death.”

Funda reports that upon further investigation, two suspects were arrested pertaining the incident.

Funda further pleads with members of the community who might have information regarding the two incidents to assist police with their investigation by calling 08600 10111 or by giving an anonymous tip off via the my SAPS app.
