VANDERBIJLPARK. Sedibeng District Municipality has spent R3.9 million on catering services while the residents suffered lack of basic services. Kingsol Chabalala, the Democratic Alliance (DA) MPL Emfuleni constituency head, lambasted the manner in which the municipality wasted money.

He said the Gauteng MEC for human settlements and cooperatives governance and traditional affairs, Lebogang Maile said the district municipality have spend R3. 909 676.57 on catering services from July 2017 to January 2022.

The money was apprently spent during the workshops, committee meetings and council meetings.
