SEDIBENG.-  With three games remaining VUT FC looks setto be crowned the champions in Safa Sedibeng SAB League Stream A.

This was after they beat Vaal Legends FC 3-0 in the Safa Sedibeng SAB League match played at Bophelong Stadium on Monday.  On the other stream, Real Hearts FC also continued with their fine form when they beat Try Me Again FC 3-1 in a STREAM B encounter at General Smuts High School Grounds on the same day while second placed Perfect Academy beat SUBS 3-2 to keep pressure on top of the Stream B with a game in hand. Second placed Juventus FC suffered a 2-1 defeat to Vaal Milano FC at Boitumelo dusty soccer ground over the weekend while Boipatong FC played to a 1-1 all against Mighty Blues at Qedilizwe Primary School Grounds. As things stands, the league remains with three to four games before the end of the 2021/2022 season.

Meanwhile, Sedibeng Ster Sport, has learned that six teams will be relegated at the end of the season with two teams being promoted to the SAB League in the new season. Last season four teams were promoted to the SAB League with no team being relegated at the end of last season.

This was a big concern to some of the club owners who believed that some of the teams weakened the Safa Sedibeng SAB League with some teams suffering a heavy defeat. At the end of last season it was agreed that four teams will be promoted in the SAB League and those finishing at the bottom of the log won’t be relegated.

However, other clubs officials were against this decision and challenged it,with no success.
