Teen girls brave cold weather for the needy people
The teen girls are doing it also for the love of the community.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- Two teens girls Bohlale Makoe and Tanatswa Chibanda braved the cold weather to take the streets of Vanderbijlpark to feed soup to the less fortunate on Sunday morning.
This initiative was part of their responsibilities for Miss Teen Moguel 2022. These two teens are running for the Miss Teen Moguel 2022 crown which is part of the Megatha Pageants. The pageant believes in empowering all women to step out of their comfort zone, and to create opportunities where one can achieve their dreams.
Migethan Pageants has strong focus on social responsibility and making a difference in South Africa communities. The purpose of the pageant is also to inspire and motivate women to contribute on the positive change in the community. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the young girls said that it was such a great feeling to help the underprivileged. To make it interesting they managed to feed more than 30 people, black and white, and others even asked for more because there was more than enough soup.
Thepair told Sedibeng Ster that they intend to do this beyond Miss Teen Moguel because they feel there is lot that needs to be done to help those who are in need. The young girls were accompanied by their parents and all COVID19 regulations were observed.
“This initiative has opened our eyes that there are people out there who are desperately in need of our help. It touched our hearts to see how much these people appreciated the little that we gave them, and it was more than enough for them. We want to thank Migathan Pageants for this opportunity because it is not just about competition, but more than that. We thought it was just a competition, but it is not, and we must say we have learned a lot from this initiative,” said the two.
The platform for 2022 competition is mental Health and wellness that the contestants will be tasked to great awareness on mental and health wellness to make a difference in the lives of those affected.
