Rand Water works on pipeline in Vereeniging
A number of areas will be affected by the work.

SEDIBENG.- Rand Water has scheduled a planned maintenance work at Vereeniging Water Treatment Plant and Weltevreden to execute the following work:
- Tie-in the newly installed F46 pipeline to the existing F34 pipeline.
- Installation of a new non-return valve on the pump-set 20 at Vereeniging Water Treatment Plant.
The above-mentioned work is planned to take place on the 3rd of June 2022 and will affect the Eikenhof system. The duration of the maintenance work will be 24 hours and during this period, a number of areas in the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) will be affected.
Rand Water has formally issued a 21 days’ notice to the affected municipal customer, the CoJ in order to allow for appropriate contingency measures to be put in place. The CoJ will further advise consumers whether this maintenance work will have an impact on them and where to access the water tanks.

Rand Water will start pumping water immediately upon completion of this maintenance workand appeals to consumers to continue using water sparingly.
