Emerald Resort and Casino has confirmed that a drowning occurred at the Aquadome on the Sunday the 12th of June 2022.

In a statement Mark Hands, Managing Director at Emerald Resort and Casino said: “An 8-year-old boy was playing in the pool when he came into difficulty and was removed from the water by one of our team of lifeguards. CPR was administered at the scene until the paramedics arrived and tried unsuccessfully to revive the child.”

“We are deeply saddened by the incident and our thoughts and prayers go out the child’s family and the Team members involved at this difficult time,” says Hands.
