A successful installment of Okae Molao in Midvaal

The Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira together with MMC for Development and Planning Mokete Motsamai recently joined a successful installment of the SAPS Operation Okae Molao.

MEYERTON. – The operation was carried out by the Sedibeng SAPS together with various Law Enforcement Agencies, MLM departments and Provincial departments.

Speaking during the operation, Motsamai said that the objective of the multi-disciplinary operation was to enforce law and order in Midvaal and ensure the safety of residents.

“We are at the roadblock together with the Executive Mayor. Some of the things that the police are looking at are stolen vehicles, including those that are not roadworthy. We have been told that there has been quite a number of successes and we are happy about that.”

Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi says, “A total 75 suspects were arrested during the operation. An illegal Shebeen was closed and liquor seized. A total of 21 traffic fines were issued to motorists.” Sedibeng District Commissioner Major General Zodwa Molefe thanked members for their efforts which result in successful operations.
