Hope FM receives the voice award

The Vaal region is flanked with dozens of local radio stations competing in the same space.

VANDERBIJLPARK – But one radio station, Hope FM scooped The Voice award during The Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce gala dinner hosted recently in Emerald Casino.

According to awards organizers, the Voice Trophy Award is awarded to the medium that distributed news in the Vaal.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Chief Executive Officer of the station Motseki Mabuya (37) said they blessed to have won such an award.

“Never doubt God’s promise about your life, work, project or family. Tomorrow you will testify. In the midst of the challenges, we are facing at the station, we still collecting awards. Is it not strange how God operate? We certainly have built a great platform and we are now more than convinced that God has a purpose and it shall be fulfilled through Hope FM” he said.

Motseki further said they are honoured to have received the award in a community filled with so much competition.

“Extremely humbled that within a very short space of time, the station is receiving such a prestige award from the Business community.

We only three years since the relaunch of the station and we are grateful that our presence is been felt across the Vaal triangle. The award serves as a token of reminder that we should not stop Connecting Communities through our community orientated content,” he added.

Hope FM, himself and other colleagues also garnered a PMR Africa award, Annual National Mmino Wa Clap and Tap Best Programme, Sedibeng Community Sports Radio Presenter of the Year in 2021 and Radio Presenter of the Year 2022.
