EVATON.- The Lakeside Future Stars FC were crowned Barney Sports Foundation U/13 Festive Tournament  Champions came to an end at Conti ground in Evaton over the weekend.

This was after they beat Vaal Octopus 3-1 in nail-biting final. The tournament was host by Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) in conjunction with the Barney Sports Foundation. Sixteen Emfuleni junior soccer teams battled it out for soccer kits and prize money.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the Barney Sports Foundation Committee for taking the initiative to partner with us as ELFA to support football at grassroots level. It was the best way to end the season with this successful tournament,” he told Sedibeng Ster Sport.

Meanwhile all the teams that qualified for the semi-finals received soccer kits branded Cappelli, trophies, medals and prize money.
