Laerskool HandHawer holds successful Inter-house Athletics meeting
Academically the school has also been known to be amongst the best in their district, with proven results.

VEREENIGING. – If nothing stands in their way, the children of Laerskool HandHawer in Vereeniging are destined for success, both physically and academically. The school held a successful Inter-house athletics meeting at the school in Vereeniging on Friday morning, and there was plenty of talent.

The children participated in different categories and ages, while wearing different colours. Amongst the categories that the children participated in were Hurdles (70m,75m,80m,150m and 200m), Short Distance (60m,80m,100m,150m and 200m), High Jump (150m), Long Jump (1200m) and Shot Put (800m).

Those who made it through to the final rounds, and were eventual winners in positions 1-3 were awarded certificates, much to their delight. The meeting was also in preparation of the school meeting other schools in the district.

Parents were also invited to cheer on their children, and they did not disappoint.
