MLM consults Lakeside residents during IDP

The projects that are planned for the next six months include the installation of high mast lights.

SEDIBENG.- The Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) continued with its Integrated Development Planning (IDP) public meetings in Lakeside, Sebokeng recently.
The meetings were held at the Lakeside Sports Centre where projects that were completed in the last six months were outlined. Local municipalities in South Africa have to use integrated development planning as a method to plan future development in their areas.
The MLM said that among the projects that were completed in Lakeside are:
  • A soccer field
  • Bulk water and sewer
  • Ablution facilities and guard house
  • Outdoor combi courts and
  • Replacement of water isolation valves.

The projects that are planned for the next six months include:

  • Work on the Lakeside Sports Centre multipurpose hall and
  • Installation of PV high mast lights
