Nkhwashu conveys a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to men and women in blue

The Acting Police Commissioner of Sedibeng District, Brigadier Mabangwa Nkhwashu has extended words of appreciation to police and various stakeholders for their hard work during the recent National Shutdown.

SEDIBENG. – Sedibeng District Acting Police Commissioner Brigadier Mbangwa Nkhwashu has expressed appreciation and gratitude to the men and women in blue for their hard work during the EFF’s National Shutdown on March 20 as well as on Human Rights Day celebrated in Sharpeville on March 21.

Nkhwashu extended his praises to the Community Policing Forum (CPF), Community Patrollers, Private Security and all community structures for ensuring that law and order prevailed throughout both of the events.

In Sharpeville, a heavy police presence was felt and despite there being various political parties present, law and order was the order of the day.

“I am happy with the sense of unity displayed by law enforcers in Sedibeng District, my hope is to see this kind of working relationship sustained and harnessed for the benefit of our community. I appreciated your dedication, perseverance and patriotism. Let us continue to strive towards a safe and secure environment for all,” he said.

The National Joint Operational and Intelligent Structure (NATJOINTS) thanked various structures including members of the public, business forums and the transport sector including the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) and the National Taxi Alliance (NTI).
