VANDERBIJLPARK. – Busisiwe Mkhwane-Zwane (37) has left the corporate world to pursue her dream of creating a haven for kids in and around the Vaal Triangle through the establishment of BusaBee Kids Hotel situated in Vanderbijlpark.
Zwane says the objective behind her idea was to give parents peace of mind and create a safe and nurturing environment where kids will receive the best care while parents attend to urgent matters or take time out for themselves.
Speaking during her launch, Zwane told guests that it is ok to take some time out as a parent.
“As women, we often get overwhelmed and tired of doing it all and that’s ok. It is not that we don’t love our kids but sometimes one just needs to get a few hours to recoup and regain one’s strength so that one can continue to take care of your family. This place is for you.”
The mother of three says she is passionate about kids and that she was more determined to start after she saw a lot of wrong things happening to kids in society.
“We hear of many things happening to kids in the absence of their parents and we want to change the narrative. We have created a safe space where kids will be allowed to be kids.”
Zwane’s friend Puleng Molaba said this was her friend’s long-term dream. “Busi is loving and everything she touches turns to gold. Her love for kids is the reason we are all gathered here today. As a mother myself, I am happy to have a place where I can take my kids whenever I just need to do life and still have the peace of mind knowing that they are well taken care of.”
The hotel boasts a child-friendly facility, a play area and caters for kids in various age groups. Zwane said in the future, the establishment would offer different kiddies programs including tutoring for various subjects. The hotel offers day visits as well as overnight visits.
