SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng Netball Male Team hoisted the Sedibeng flag high at the National Netball Male Championships held at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg over the weekend.

This long week of national championships came to an end over the weekend with Sedibeng being crowned the champions in the B Divisions. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sedibeng Netball Federation President  Fakazile Nkitseng said that in all the games they played, the Sedibeng Netball Male Team only lost to the South African Defence Force Netball Male Team.

She said the two were equal in points with Sedibeng Netball Male Team beating South African Defence Force Netball Male with a goal difference to be crowned the champions in this B Section. Nkitseng said this was one of the best achievements of the Sedibeng Netball Federation.

However, Nkitseng revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport that due to financial constraints they decided to take only one team to this National Championships.

“Congratulations to the male team for making us proud. This is one achievement we must be proud of after a long time and the male team showed us that anything is possible. As Sedibeng Netball Federation we want to thank players and coaches for a job well done. We took only one team because financially we couldn’t take all our teams to Rustenburg but we don’t regret our decision because the B Male Team brought the gold medal home,” said Nkitseng.
