The New Holy Catholic Apostolic Zion Church celebrates Mother’s Day

"It is our plan to host this Mother’s Day annually and I have no doubt that next year it will be better and bigger."

SEBOKENG.- The New Holy Catholic Apostolic Church in Zion hosted their first ever annual Mother’s Day at the church’s premises in Zone 10, Sebokeng on Sunday.

The theme of the event was ‘Wonderful Woman’ with the church’s women celebrated for their effort as mothers and leaders in the community. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the church’s Women’s President, Matsidiso Letsaba hailed the event as a great success and said that it is for the first time the church celebrated Mother’s Day. Letsaba said as a church it was important to acknowledge and celebrate mothers.

She told Sedibeng Ster that they invited guest speakers from outside and within the church. The church Lady Bishop, Boitumelo Ndlovu was among the speakers on the day.

“We formed a women’s committee in church and some of the projects that we will embark on is to raise funds for the church. I want to thank everyone who made this event a success especially our Lady Bishop for the support she demonstrated in preparation for this Mother’s Day. I don’t think without her support this event could have been a success and we want to say think to Lady Bishop,” concluded Letsaba.
