Recycler found dead at Matiki dumping site

The man was identified as Abraham Bande Molete (31).

BOIPATONG. – A recycler was found dead at the recently closed Boitshepi Landfill Site popularly known as Matiki on Monday, 29 May in Boipatong.

It is alleged that the body was discovered in the early hours of the morning. The man was identified as Abraham Bande Molete (31).

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, his brother Samuel Molete said he last saw the deceased over the weekend.

“I received a call while I was at work alerting me that my brother was found dead. I am devastated because he was very sickly and shouldn’t have been roaming around the street.

“He has been doing this work as a recycler for years. As a family, we are hurt and we don’t know what we are going to do.”

Police were on the scene for further investigations.
