MIDVAAL. – Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) continues to boast excellence. This is after its Fire Department brought the trophy home for the third consecutive year after securing first place in the recent Dräger Fire Combat and Rescue Challenge held on 27 July.

The Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira was joined by the Municipal Manager, Anton Groenewald, the MMC for Public Safety and Roads Gerrit Viljoen, and the management team of the Fire Department in congratulating the team on their achievements.

MLM says: “The Midvaal Fire Department showcased their extraordinary skills and teamwork, not only securing 1st place and 3rd place in the overall team competition but receiving several places in the individual challenges too.

“We congratulate our dedicated firefighters for their outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to serving our community. Their victory is a testament to the Midvaal Fire Department’s dedication to safety and excellence.”
