Sedibeng Netball President is confident over Proteas

"This was our first defeat of the World Cup and we should not panic because Jamaica is a good team."

SEDIBENG._ Despite the defeat over Jamaica, Sedibeng Netball President Fakazile Nkitseng is confident that the Proteas will go all the way to the final of the Netball World Cup.

The Proteas suffered their first defeat of the Netball World Cup against Jamaica on Sunday. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport. Nkitseng told Sedibeng Ster Sport that she has confidence in the team and the coach, Norma Plummer reactive their mistake going into their next games of the tournament.

South Africa finished second to Jamaica in their Stage Group and both teams will move to the next stage. The World Cup is divided into four groups with the two teams in each group moving to the next stage.

The Proteas play against New Zealand today, Wednesday before they play against Uganda on Thursday. However, the stage two games started on Monday.

“I have no doubt that we will go all the way to the finals if we can be reactive to a few mistakes, we committed against Jamaica. But having said that, take nothing from Jamaica, they are a good side and they demonstrated that. I have no doubt that our coach will definitely work on those mistakes we committed to make sure we win other games,” she concluded.
